The Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention is organising the second edition of SuperAlp! The "sustainable" crossing of the Alps taking place between the 14th-22nd June 2008, in cooperation with the Province of Belluno. It is a brand new itinerary for crossing the Alps from France through Switzerland, Austria and Italy, using only sustainable means of transport: bike, train, bus, cableway, without forgetting the most eco-friendly and natural way: walking. However, this project it is more than just a journey across the Alps. The 2008 edition wishes to make this crossing an occasion to discover the different existing networks, also at a local level, which contribute to the creation of a future worth its name, in compliance with the principles of the Alpine Convention.
